GABA is not therapy. GABA is not medical advice. GABA is a social performance training app. It is designed to help you build real world social skills through structured practice. It is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, diagnosis, or counseling. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
Welcome to GABA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Gaba Technologies LLC ("GABA," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the GABA app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use GABA.
1. What GABA Is (and Is Not)
GABA is a social performance training platform. We provide tasks, scripts, frameworks, and guided challenges designed to help you practice and improve your social skills in the real world.
GABA is not a medical device, therapy app, or clinical tool. Nothing in the app should be interpreted as medical advice, psychological treatment, or a diagnosis of any condition. We are not licensed therapists, and using GABA does not create a patient/provider relationship.
You are solely responsible for how you apply the training in your life. If you have concerns about your mental health, consult a qualified professional.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use GABA. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the app. We reserve the right to terminate accounts if we believe this requirement is not met.
3. Your Account
When you create a GABA account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
Do not share your account with others. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@gabaapp.com.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
GABA offers the following subscription plans:
- Monthly: $7.99 per month
- Annual: $49.99 per year
All new subscribers receive a 7 day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.
All billing is handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. GABA does not process payments directly.
To cancel your subscription, go to your subscription settings in the App Store or Google Play Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until that period ends.
Because payments are processed by Apple and Google, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google through their respective support channels. GABA does not issue refunds directly.
5. User Conduct
GABA is built to help you grow. We expect you to use it with that intent. When using GABA, you agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal or harmful purpose
- Harass, threaten, or harm other people (in the app or while performing tasks)
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or distribute the app or its content
- Create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the app
- Interfere with the app's infrastructure or security
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these expectations.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in GABA belongs to Gaba Technologies LLC. This includes but is not limited to: tasks, scripts, training materials, frameworks, challenge structures, text, graphics, logos, UI design, and the underlying software.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any GABA content without our explicit written permission. Your subscription grants you a limited, non transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non commercial purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
GABA is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the app's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gaba Technologies LLC and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) GABA. This includes but is not limited to: damages for loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or emotional distress.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to GABA shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You acknowledge that social interactions carry inherent risk, and GABA is not responsible for the outcomes of any real world situations you engage in while using the app.
8. Account Termination and Data Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, all associated personal data will be permanently removed from our systems.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of GABA after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
